What I generally do before I talk to someone, is to get in a call with someone first and listen to their voice, so on my 2nd call, I can open up after knowing the person more.

And if it's a group, I have to call each of them first before I'm able to vc with multiple people.

Scammer bots can be multiple accounts and just go off every time the cooldown. This prevents those bot accounts getting access at all unless the scammer themselves goes the extra mile to get lv1 roles

I convinced my gf to download the game and she tried it solo and immediately said “this game is impossible” “how do I even go up” etc. first run together she peaked. Admittedly, it took 2 hours. Now she’s convinced she’s “beat the game” and has no reason to play.

I find it to be quite the difficult balance of helping new players, but not helping them so much they get bored of it

No, last night was her first time playing. She did one solo run, then with my help peaked in the next game. I let her lead, but to an extent. She would wander around for a while until the fog caught up and then I would “magically stumble upon” the correct route. I tried to make it feel natural but I don’t think I did a very good job.

It's so easy to "ruin" a new players experience. With mushrooms, maybe even eat one you know is poisonous (and omit the fact that it takes time to tick the poison). They'll eat it too, and then with time playing the game, they recognize them with ease. And then there's napberry, blow dart.. etc. but, good luck.
