Yes. Food items, or anything your character would "use" on themself grant extra stamina I'd they're cooked, and better hunger restore if it's actually food. Some equipment items, like rope cannons stop working if they get cooked.
Overcooking food isnt helpful and should be avoided

Switching to the other version of the game has worked for a lot of times telling others what may help. If you use Vulkan switch to Dx12 or vice versa. If not that, try switching your audio input to something else then back to your original microphone

Lobbies fill almost instantly you gatta be quick. If nothing seems to happen when you enter the code into your browser, the lobby is full.
The game will give notifications if the lobby is invalid for other reasons sometimes, but won't tell or do anything if it failed because the lobby was full.
