It sounds like you can rejoin if the group is at the campfire, but I personnally get glitched out every time I try. There are active bug reports for it and it may be a problem with AMD hardware

You have to have your invite turned into "friends only" or else it won't work. Had the same problem, or else the lobby might be full you wanted to join

it's encrypted, don't mess with it in notepad

You need to decrypt it to edit it, which the script does for you
