The game was designed to have scrolls 5-8 be found there. It just so happens that taking them there, if they spawn in lower regions, is a work around to get the 5-8. Its cheesing really. This trick only works once you have the first 4. Taking them to Alpine while you still don't have the first 4 results in them still being the first and is a wasted trip.
