its kinda the same reason why i like films over TV shows. its an adventure in one sitting, you cant just take a break and come back, because its an adventure that demands you be engaged from the start to the finish. its a story in one sitting and i think theres a magic to that, although of course it makes the game less accessible. but i think its a cool feeling knowing that pretty much every person that has beat the game has done it in a single climb

maps are procedurally generated in house; meaning the devs generate them with their tools. they cant generate them in-game each day cause of the way lighting in the game works, its baked into the maps. so theres basically a giant pool of maps that cycles through each day. so technically you can play the same map again; its just gonna take a very very long time
