I enjoyed my second ever time playing this game with other people just yesterday, and with the power of friendship we were able to defeat ascent 6, which has proven to be the first one I just couldn't pull off solo 
I guess the moral of the story is that friends are nice (:
(And also I never want to do any ascent past whichever one added the cold nights solo ever again)
