If you want the actual answer its because insects (and arachnids) are a vital piece of our environment and one of the most common animal groups on the planet.

Fear of them, while understandable, should not be normalized in my opinion as a social acceptance of this phobia leads to a social acceptance of the casual eradication of these animals.

While I can sympathise with your fear I do not condone the catering to this fear the same way that i do not condone the catering to other extremely niche phobias.

I think the bugphobia option is fantastic. I have a friend who dislikes spiders, and they gave it a go with them, and while it wasn't massively triggering, they have opted to turn on bugphobia anyway. Being comfortable and happy, is always the way, diversity is a good thing!

While I appreciate the fix to zombies, I hated it but I had fun! We played regular but I think if there was a way to slowly lessen all the stats as higher ascents go. No zombies in tenderfoot is a good idea.
