In my opinion, as someone who isn't really dating regularly but has had a few good relationships [healthy ones]. Just, treat someone like a friend first, and get to know em as a friend and then go from there.
Best relationship advice I can give for if you're in a relationship, even if you're dating someone, they're still your friend. Talk things out like you're talking to someone you're equals and close to, noty just as partners.

I don’t think I’m furry enough to call myself one XD. But the truth is idk what I would commission since I don’t have an OC or anything specific fandom that I’m particularly a fiend of, it’s just that I have a lot of friends that do take commissions and I wish to support them, but up to this point I didn’t earn my own money so it was not up to me. But now I started a job so things may change around idk!

Yeah I get you there. It's hard to kinda get to the stage of being that close to someone but always start wtih just finding friends and finding places you're comfortable with.
Don't "look" to date in your actions because then you'll be disappointed. Find places you're happy to be around, people you're comfortable with regardless of if they're datable and then opportunities will arise.

Worst case scenario you have a comforting enviornment with new friends and people you care about. Best case, someone you're friends with might be the one.
