.... ascent 5 isnt even cold... alpine is cold but there are multiple ways to avoid freezing like climbing into mountain, standing behind trees, or hiding in crevises. Blizzards can last a long time sometimes causing enough damage for your timer to run out

The klin is meant to be easy cause the caldera is where ur expected to fail. The klin is more of a hunger farm or item farm due to amount of resources for volcano.

I am saying the cold will not kill you at night assuming you keep your food in check and take off your pack. Sun comes up and warms you up fast enough.

Makes taking the lantern much more optional once you know how to do it.

I went to check it out, normally you can just wander in to the center and there's lovely pitons. There is no 'wander into the center' today, you have to do at least a bit of the blind outside 'can I stand here also will a blizzard kill me' climb

there's like an overhang at the bottom that just dead ends 80% of the map at the beginning
