I just don't enjoy the map at all. Like at least Mesa's heatwave gimmick is actually managable but with Alpine it's like you NEED a lantern, or else you're gonna die or have to go with the "stop and go" method which I HATE to the core.

Yeah, the stop-and-go method is pretty annoying, but I also tend to do that for the Tropics rain as well

THE DIFFERENCE IS, is that tropics' rain lasts less than a minute and only makes it harder to climb RATHER than I don't know literally draining your energy.

also the hypothermia effect lasts a LONG LONG time, making it annoying to deal with because you need a lantern to get rid of it quickly.

The interior of the Alpine (at least in my experience) 99% of the time doesn't lead you to anywhere that could reasonably get you higher without using some sort of item, or it just leads to nowhere at all other than the ice roof. Which is HIGHLY in contrast from Mesa where going inside of it pretty much garauntees safety.
