you dont need to die, afaik you'll get the achievement upon running out of stamina and getting the red x when you start to slip, so once you start to fall you can always try to drop to a safe space

achievement is earned as soon as u climb the 50 m i think but again i did it by accident so i might be misremembering

nah it used to be, but lots of us got it as ghosts and stuff ahaha, so now it checks for it when you run out of stamina, so if you climb 50m and then carry on climbing nd reach a rest point, it doesnt check for it sadly :(

I think it only counts the 50m once it checks elevation again after landing (i did mine on a pre-nerf chain launcher) but it might check when stamina runs out, hence this workaround people are using

I wish there was a game replay / Theater Mode to go back and clip epic moments. Yesterday, in solo vanilla Ascent 5, I accidentally shoved my whole backpack through a wall and lost all my food and a flare. I was devastated. I knew it was the end.
