i don't think so, the hotter the rocks are the faster they inflict heat damage but its not insta death just much much faster than standing on the spicier rocks like the ones in kiln or the regular ones that heat up with lava rising

it's annoying as eff to do but like i managed eventually, you just have to either move at night (Tenderfoot helps avoid the fog) or get lucky with map gen and be very careful about only moving in shade and get sunscrene n stuff

it's a special item found in the tomb area in the mesa biome, you throw it into kiln lava for the 24 karat badge. but if you're holding it it also prevents all damage but only while you're holding it, won't protect you from being blown off things by dynamite will just prevent damage

I thought it correlated to spawns, because the purple grass in tropics was when there was a lot of pink monsteras (the poison ones) and possibly also the explosive poison things. I also have a screenshot of tropics with orangey grass, and that was when there were a lot of the green and orange explosive pustules. I THINK the shores may also follow that pattern so I thought the sand could be grey because of jellyfish but that may be tropics only, maybe shore sand just changes sometimes

If it’s essential then honestly great, I just find that so many people will run a whole lot of stuff and never use it “I’ll need this later!” And never use it for fear of needing it later. Idk if that makes sense, I do run an extreme version where I aim for LNT and naturalist/no energy or lollipop whenever I run, so seeing people up to the gills in equipment is always a little crazy unless I’m with a team
