First, like always try verifying your files through steam.

If this still doesnt work then i will copy paste my answer from a different thread on the issue :

• A lot of people have found that once theyve loaded into the island its fine. If not try vulkan (instead of dx12). - Usually because dx12 doesnt support your graphics card/some older integrated graphics

• If neither of these work then make sure your device meets the minimum requirements listed on the steam page

• Another thing you can try if your cpu has integrated graphics but you also have a graphics card, is going into your graphic control panel (e.g. nvidea control center) and making sure peak is set to use your dedicated graphics card
