It is large, but I find on every successful run I've had, I've done a lot more side to side, and inside to outside climbing. There's no real clear path ahead that you can always see like on tropics, alpine and shore.

ok first i'd make sure your specs meet the minimum requirement. You can also open the game with task manager open on the performance tab, and see if any of your hardware reached 100% just before the crash as that would help isolate the issue

honestly the links usually fill up in a matter of a few seconds... to check whether your multiplayer is actually working on the servers you can try creating your own lobby and see if people join you. You can create the link by...

How to make lobby code:
In the main menu, go to settings and change lobby mode to 'friends'.
Then press host and go into the airport.
The green 'join game' button should now appear on your steam profile. Right click it to copy the link :)

sry no, your pc firewall isnt what i meant. a lot of internet providers/routers have a built in firewall that don't allow connections to some servers/countries servers. thats why we reccomend testing with either a hotspot or a VPN to see whether its your internet

i find it's a lot faster solo, with the downside of nobody can revive you etc, but you have more mouths to feed. some are much easier with multiplayer (achievements) btu solo is pretty fun once you're comfortable doing it alone consistently
