I'm a wholly solo player, and don't worry bro- keep at it. The best skill you can learn honestly is patience. Sit for a second when you reach a campfire and look at the next climb, try to find what looks like a good route up. You'll probably have to make some deviations on your intended route, but taking a minute or two to plan can make or break a run.

beach is medium difficulty, tropics today is vertical with no clear path really so higher difficulties are nightmare mode, and alpine is a little sketchy but okay

It's not wholly easy but with like, any one of good movement gear (rope gun, piton, chain gun) or like 20 extra stam from cooked food you can clear tropics easily

Ah, rip. The way I've found to counteract that with alpine is to take the lantern at the plane up with you! Doesn't weigh too much and you can run to safety in alpine for a few seconds with it on

personally, I was mostly having issues with stamina. Reason I died was because I ran out while making a long climb in the Kiln

-1 backpack slot for a much easier alpine is a good tradeoff for me, especially since heat packs are so rare
