I recommend trying to keep your inventory full of mostly food like every time you find apples or coconuts carry as many as you can without the weight being too much, and this guide. also remember you dont need to always have your hunger fully gone, you just need to balance it with how much stamina you have left. I recommend playing in tenderfoot, collecting a bunch of food on the starting area and going back to cook it on the airplane pieces fire since you can do that
