it happens when you put it down looking too low so your backpack gets glitched in your body and it launches it because of weird physics, the best you can do is putting it down as far as you can from you on the flatest surface you have around you

i honestly got lucky as the same thing happened to me on alpines yet i managed to make it and make to the peak

I avoid doing in places with too little space, I learned from experience, the more claustrophobic, the more likely you throw your backpack by accident.

i was on the frozen mountain and at that point i was like, "i can chance it and try to get a flare in a chest, or go back for the backpack." knowing my luck, i wouldnt get a flare from a chest that late in the game. and considering that you need a flare to finish the game on ascent 4 and up. so tldr i died going back down the half of the mountain for my pack 😭

First day we crash landed on our camping village where we immediately set foot in the wild trying to get to the peak of a pathway to saint francis's source, but we found out we didn't have enough stamina to get there

I find it hard to play solo, but it's a blast if you find the right group.
