Hi, I am trying to use some mods through Thunderstore however I think by using Thunderstore the game automatically launches using Vulkan, which is really laggy for me for some reason. Is there a way to make it so it launches with DX12 instead? I havent really used Thunderstore much so any help would be appreciated. In your internet browser, make sure you're not in the airport in game when doing so. If you're just not joining without getting an error message, lobby is probably full. They fill up fast

Why? Just install the mods using thunderstore. Then launch the game via steam. The files should all be in there. On steam set it to use dx12 and just launch the game normally. It should have all the mods working.

Guys isn't there a suggestions tab? Me and my friends started playing the game differently, as a competitive game and I thought it would be a good idea.

So we installed the unlimited player mod to increase the amount of players. Then we split into two groups, each team wearing the same outfit.

We race each other to the top of each biome. Whichever team reaches the top first wins (With a couple of conditions). The first condition is, the team with the most players wins the point. If both team have the same amount of members then the first to reach the top wins.

Whoever wins gets to grab the backpack. In higher biomes the amount of marshmallows is reduced so each teams gets the same amount and decides which teammates eats them.

What do you guys think?

oooh you know what, I came here to ask what randomly gives frost for no reason in the alpines, I wasn't in fog, (tenderfoot), wasn't touching any rocks, and there was no blizzard and after eating a lolipop I just kept getting frost ticks for like 80 seconds! I had to use ALL my cure-all, and 2 fairy lanterns and heat packs and it barely stopped it!

after searching 'frost' here I'm not the only one I don't think! I saw someone say their sleep ticked up forever after a lolipop, I was worreid there was some kind of frost-tick that latches onto you but maybe it was just a bug

For people trying to use Thunderstore or Gale, currently PEAK will always launch with -force-vulkan parameter when you run the game from both or directly. This is because the first launch configuration option on Steam for PEAK is set to have the parameter -force-vulkan.

The parameters -dx12, -force-dx12, -force-d3d12 will not work because PEAK uses DX12 by default. The only way to change this is to swap the order of these launch option so that the first option will be the one without the Vulkan parameter. You can do this by downloading and installing SteamEdit, however, I do not recommend this because it totally changes the launch config instead of just swapping the two.

If you don't want to install anything, I made a small command-line app that you can use with your terminal to have them swap automatically with just one command. For more info you check it out here:

If you hit Windows key + R then just put this in steam://open/console. Your steam will have a new tab that says "CONSOLE". Go on that tab, then launch your game. If you see something like below:

D:\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\PEAK\PEAK.exe -foce-vulkan --doorstop-enabled true --doorstop-target-assembly

That means PEAK is using Vulkan

If you see something like

Then it's using DX12
