Honestly the best use I have found is like a health pack! If your friend or you are severely hurt just shoot them with it it will make them fall asleep and when they wake up (you can carry them so they don't die while you wait) all the damage will dissappear!

Ahh well I think is best to try to look for the mythical item to summon it, for todays island the easiest mythical box is at the end of the lava level right about to enter the volcano, if not, just make it to the campfires without anyone dying you can then use the revival statue and it will give you a random mythical item! It's pretty much just luck.
