Once you complete normal difficulty you unlock ascent 1, it adds a debuff, first ascent make falling take more damage, if you complete that you unlock ascent 2, and then 3 etc, not sure all of them yet but so far the max is ascent 7

The chain shooter shoots it's own chain, the rope shooter shoots a short length of rope, the piton sticks onto a wall after holding down right click, and the rope by itself is used by scrolling and you set it down for someone below you. Not meant for solo players unless you plan to fall below lol

I do have more feedback for the devs that it impossible to climb with someone on your back there has to be like a sled pull option or something where you can anchor a dead teammate on the side of a wall as you grab a piton or something i have yet to hold someone and successfully climb they are way to heavy

Well yeah if you have a group and one of you is incapacitated they weigh a lot which takes up your stamina and it's not easy to carry them up the mountain like that with no stamina. Even with one piton it'd be rough, even three pitons might not make it up to the next ledge let alone to the very top

i know theres the checkpoint stuff. the campfires. but you also have to climb alot to get to it. and hopefully they dont die before that
