I think the main part of the game is about repetition, and finding safe and optimized paths... I understand that with each biome the goal is to first master how to get through it easily and quickly. And then maybe how to collect resources during that process. So maybe not so much about difficulty, but about the learning curve of that biome generation?

even if you fail you can try again on the same island and do better

my main problem is constantly being forced to try something risky that puts me just far enough into a bad spot that I cant 'climb back down' without just getting yeeted off the mountain. Driving me nuts.

That and all the 'just angled enough that ur not climbing but ur guy lunges' and you lose a ton of ur stam

if you wanna get down, I suggest letting go and catching yourself with a wall instead of trying to climb all the way down - make sure to catch yourself with enough distance not to take fall damage though

what we tend to in co-op is looking for the cursed chest by splitting up and whoever finds it first throws a flare down but that's only useful until you find where it is in today's layout

it may take a few tries but if you keep failing in a specific spot, try going to the opposite side of the map, there's usually a better route that you hadn't seen before which is safer and takes less items

Try closing everything and re launch steam as an admin. You do that by right clicking steam on your desktop and it should give u the option
