I don't think I've ever once had a problem with having enough of these throughout any of my playthroughs, once you get a few points of Luck stat you find more than you know what to do with just from going through a few Prisoners Quarters, which tbh you should be doing early game regardless because of how good the loot is for early game
#Easier MineCells Health Flask Crafting
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
And eating food to recover gives you plenty, there's a custom regen factor that heals a percentage of your max hp per second when your hunger bar is full
you don't have to be using exclusively health flasks to heal hp, if you're doing that you're wasting them
i agree but needing to loot for a few bits of healing, that i don't agree with
didnt they have a semi easy recipe anyways
you don't have to though, there's a recipe too yeah
i haven't even had to use the recipe tho is my point
just by looting the prisoners quarters and other mine cells dimensions for other stuff i end up with more than enough flasks in the process
the recipe IS somewhat easy but it's not worth at all
that genuinely made no sense im ngl
the craft only gives one singular flask
being able to craft them would be really nice for super early on
show the craft rq
that's easy af to get for me personally
"for me personally" yea, i'm sure it is
well, let's objectively break this down right?
glass bottles, smelt a bunch of sand
for someone who doesn't want to farm minecells endlessly, it's super tedious
flesh, farm minecells mobs, not too difficult, and those blue orbs, same thing
just a couple runs get you quite a bit of early game stuff and you don't need to really waste any more time after that for a while
now here's the trick ya ready?
- only use these flasks on bosses or important fights
you will not need these flasks for anything else other than the harder fights, there's a lot of tricks to other fights
yea, it's pretty obvious to use REALLY good healing items for boss fights...anyone smart enough knows to do that in any difficult game
sometimes you just have to use it outside of those times
i really do disagree, you don't have to use these flasks outside of harder fights, there's many other ways to heal, such as comfort buff food, rice is pretty easy to make but if you do villagers you can get best comfort buff food in-game when you have master butcher
then there's nourishment buff food, also very good and the same thing applies
there's also the banner of undying trinket, pretty good especially when you pair that with a charm of regen II
there's also golden apples
so i don't think you have to use it out of those times, you have to kinda learn to play it safe so that you don't panic-use it and prepare ahead instead to use something else
also, learning boss patterns and dodging really helps, the ol' running in circle strat to see what attacks the boss does while dodging it, movement speed trinkets really help with this a lot, it's an rpg, a bit of a challenging one at times, so that's the stuff you have to learn
i honestly don't remember having this much trouble with early game a couple years ago when i last did a full play through
i see what you mean
it wasn't balanced a couple of years ago, there really was no challenge at all in this pack
that wasn't really the goal for this pack a couple of years ago, it was just a new pack and things came with time
yea, that's fair enough
but an early game player right now doesn't have access to those things you mentioned above unless they go straight for it
well yeah, that's why asking for advice can help
and also have to know those mechanics exist
if you go in blind, expect a pretty crazy challenge just because you lack knowledge
i usually don't even think about nourishment buffs within 5 minutes of starting
i'm not asking for anything to be made EASIER perse, but rather just some QoL to prevent unnecessary looting
i hate going into the minecells knowing how horrible the loot is for mid-game but yet i need to for just a few flasks
we could potentially put these flasks in the starter kit, maybe 10 of them or so, and then include a quest in the getting started section about them and their importance @hollow delta as they are the best healing in the entire pack outside of abilities from a healer build
already done
if you do the gear quest you get like 15
there's already a quest in the combat and gear section that gives like a stack of them too
that could be a nice qol i think
one of the earlier quests yeah
i see
it only gave me 1
🤷♂️
not the mine cells section
the whole starter kit thing needs an overhaul which is above my paygrade for now
oh that one..12 isn't a full stack though
give em a finger they take the whole hand
brother it's like 4 short
i do think, it will for sure get one in 4.0 cuz we'll have like, class based starter kits after tutorial but yeah
no its easy to do but i cant be bothered with it, for now at least
fair
so nothing to make them any easier to obtain?
well, kill more mobs there
tbh, they are kinda already easy to obtain, like, i do think the prisons are easy enough, early game you really don't have to even worry about them that much i would say, and then there's a quest that gives you 12 free ones so yeah
both of the mine cells bosses give 24 monster cells each btw
and each portal coordinate has one of each of the bosses automatically
neither of them are particularly difficult
just because they're easy doesn't mean it doesn't take time to clear them out
i mean, yeah takes a bit of time but like, nothing major imo
clear out what? you can literally just run to conjunctivius
maybe have to fight like 5 easy mobs along the way
i'm not talking about bosses
well you can if you are level 25 and have the vine rune, but still, I think clearing the mobs out isn't too hard
i can add a mid/lategame recipe for now
or that time-consuming compared to like, grinding enchants (even the quick way)
not really getting my point but ok...
i think we are just gonna purely disagree, I would advise to play the pack more and you'd probably understand at least from an objective standpoint
me personally, i don't want to run through low level areas just to get the best item for healing
you might wanna do it anyway because you can get unique simply swords and such, as well as quick emeralds and diamonds
if you find one early on, you're going to be using that for a while until you need the one you need for your artifact weapon
shouldn't there be a more convenient way instead of just opening a million chests just for that one SPECIFIC weapon for the artifact you want?
well, currently there is, bulk haunt skele skulls into wither skele skulls and farm withers
in 4.0, you can trade a special currency for unique simply swords as well
and there's contained remnants
i don't remember wither and dragon having guaranteed simply swords drops unless that's changed
not guaranteed but easy to mass farm now
that's fair i guess
if bulk farming withers is the convenient way, how are players getting the skulls needed?
bulk haunt skele skulls into wither skele skulls
..right, but the regular skulls
anyway..this wasn't about simply swords or the skulls though
skele spawners aren't too terribly hard to find, just find a nice structure with them and mark it
solution: dont get hit
