90% odds are mods.

Most break after updates.

ARK uses a TON of mods, so any one of which broken = the whole things broken

So do this (This WILL WIPE YOUR SAVE AND SETTINGS SO YOU WILL START OVER 100% NEW GAME):

1- navigate to your users <your profile> folder.
2- DELETE the “zomboid” folder. This contains all the meta data for mods, settings, etc. mods can corrupt the file, breaking your game from loading when a mod updates and/or game updates.

3- Unsubscribe from ALL your mods.

4- Verify integrity of the game OR re-install it.

5- load up the game. NO mods. Reach the title screen and close it.

POOF! You now have a brand new, vanilla, fresh game. Blank slate.

Now you can install mods

When installing mods:

1- make 100% sure they are working on your build of the game. I.e. if you are on 42.16, make sure the mod says it’s working on 42.16.

I’m Jane Helldiver in steam and can be found running amok in comment sections talking about mods working or not

Install 3-5 at a time. If game breaks, one of those mods is likely the cause

Hey also i have an off topic question, my main account got banned from this group and i think its because i said the n word in a vc text chat when i was talking to my friends is there anyone i can like talk to about getting unbanned or something cuz i love this game and this server is very useful for finding people that play it
