My chickens disappeared!

The hutch in my farm is clean, there is food and water, and there is a closed fence with no damage, I used to have three chicken in the enclosure that gave me eggs daily, until one morning, I found only a single one remaining, there were no corpses or blood

Does your fence fully enclose the hutch or is the hutch part of the perimeter?

animals tend to teleport out of their enclosures and wander off, been a persistent issue since they were introduced

I’ve only had this happen with chickens, but it’s been a while since I played. My two guesses were 1) a strip of grass tiles inside the fence but not in the animal zone; they’d wander onto those tiles and suddenly not have a home anymore, or 2) my hutch had fence up to its corners, so it was part of the fence, but the chickens would (maybe) exit the hutch on the other side, out of the pasture.

This is all conjecture. I was hoping the OP would give more information to compare to my own experience.

The whole fenced area is covered in grass, but the outside is not, and the hutch is not quite stuck against the fence
