In MP, my vehicle doors open and shut correctly, but for friend, it resets back to open.
My POV
his POV
Does the issue happen without mods?
Oh shoot! That's right
this is a vanilla car & in vanilla car they are not animated.. Probably a problem there right now compared to B41..
So, just for some clarity
(haven't restarted without mods yet)
-
KI5's vehicles (ie. 69 charger) for my friend/client will correctly sync door status open/close
-
Vanilla vehicles (animated through vanilla vehicles animated mod) work completely fine for me, and on my end the vehicles he's in/used also close. But on his POV they reset to open.
-
Filibuster Rhyme's Animated Cars also experience this.
I'll get in touch with the mod authors to see why KI5's works but the others don't, for the other users, and do some more troubleshooting on our end.
Completely forgot vanilla vehicles don't come with animations, I had that animation mod installed from the get-go lol, sorry Beard
Oh also side note just some AMAZING news, not exactly on topic but...
I'd just like to say that while I know B42MP is most definitely unstable and all, the synchronization & "lag" seem to be SOOOO good and a lot better compared to B41 MP.
The guy I'm playing with used to have chronic lag problems despite being 150ms away only, things like map not loading, fighting zombies with him was impossible, teleporting, driving cars sometimes worked sometimes didn't, etc.
But now in B42? So far? Everything has been really good. The zombies I see are the zombies he sees, the actions we take with them are sync'd, driving is good together, etc. AND his experience in Louisville/teleport loading around, etc, SO fast compared to B41. Like everything is just so much better!!
Just wanted to report some good news :p
Glad to hear it, the MP devs certainly did a lot of improvements that I have tested myself, unfortunately they do get oveshadowed by a lot of other issues
Hopefully the good can get through the communication waves to them, they definitely deserve it.
- Smoother performance experience
- Significantly less desync
- Much more consistent zombie-player + other zombie-player interactions (rather than teleporting or disappearing zombies/players etc)
- Driving together is so far almost 1:1 sync
- Sound (like from radio) realistic, muffled through walls, etc..
Some other things..
Only thing I gotta test rn, which I remember actually making a post here last time since it was actually a proper vanilla (not mod related) issue that other users experienced, was the gunshot sounds disappearing from player to player when we were a short distance apart.
Yeah that one is reported as far as I am aware already
Happy to confirm, it's fixed! My friend and I were at the Ohio Mall, and we tested going further and further away from each other, and we could hear our gunshots properly AND they got respectively quieter/muffled the further we went. AMAZING!!
