Been trying to set up dedicated server has no problem locally hosting but having problem other people joining im guessing my insternet is somehow port is not opening any help would be apricated

you may need to open the 2 incoming udp ports in windows firewall, forward the ports from your router and make sure you have your own public IPv4 address

I did open firewall inbound and out bound but I dont no I have my own public ipv4 address or not

If you can log into your router you can see if the WAN address matches what you get if you search for what's my ip

or you can tell if it's in one of the private ip blocks like 10.x.x.x

oh its not matching what is it mean ifs not matching last digit are differnt is it ARP TABLE ? also my provider is verizon

looks like you might just need port 16261 also

16261 and 16262 UDP ports are the only ones necessary

It is unusual that the server shows up as online on Battlemetrics though

Let me know once its online again so I can test connecting to it, I was not around before and it seems offline now

okay i figure out i dont know it is risky or dumb im doing this for dedicated server lmao but my solution was DMZhost the local IP with wan

okay i been going crazy i think it just a my provider

i had to just check my provider to see why my port fowording is so hard and they confirm they have been having issue with specifically public IP port fowrarding

aight looks like i can access both of my local ip and public ip now

the WAN address is either your routers public IP or it's address on your isp's network usually set automatically using dhcp

you can't always test udp ports like that

you should confirm that you do have your own public ipv4 address from your isp
