#can u create a server without an ipv4?

I think you are meaning to say that your internet provider didnt assign a public IP to you, not that the router is doing it
yea my bad i meant that
like we get a unique ipv6 but we all have the same ipv4
cuz of that i cant create servers in many games
which is ass
Indeed, you have to ask your internet provider to assign you an IP in that case
i think you can use a tunnel for a workaround
yea i know
whats that
ive used ipv6 host exposure is that the same as port forwarding?
you can find your ipv4 in your modem iirc, going to that local IP and using usually admin and admin as credentials
Check out playit.gg if your ISP cant provide you a dedicated ipv4 address.
yea i guess ill just call my provider to asign me a ipv4
thx for the help tho
i think game devs should step up in the ipv6 department
IPv4 is a standard of IP addresses, they come both private and public and your modem will only show you local IP addresses which are different to public IP addresses
some isp's will give you an address just for complaining.
If your ISP is this difficult to begin with I would argue you’re better off with a different ISP
