when its frozen like that i can still hear my character moving around and the ambient sounds and if i pause i can hear the menu come up

This seems fine, your RAM is misassigned though, did you edit any files manually?

does not occur when windowed, only in full screen and borderless

I changed to borderless while in game and it doesn't do it now
