#B42 MP, hosting a server and immediate crash error on click to play

Can you share the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid”?
Usually, when the game crashes, it should generate this log. If it does not then the crash might be caused by something else.
Can you test if you also crash when connecting to public servers?
That would give us a better idea
ill try
i disabled all my mods
i would click start after the character selection screen, everything loads fine and then this screen pops up
This is less of a crash and more of an error
Can you share the logs again after this?
im currently joining a server right now, ill tell you if i get an error
@tiny gust , im apparently able to join a server
but i just cant host
Thats good thats a clue, can you share the cosole.txt after you get to the error screen again?
alright, ill host again
okay
so
i clicked play and i just immediately got sent into the main menu..
No error this time? That would be a problem
Can you reproduce the error as shown in the screenshot somehow?
Okay so currently 3 different errors?
Try going to your Steam Library > Right click Project Zomboid > Properties > Set Launch Options > Type -cachedir=C:\Zomboid > Start the game and try hosting again?
i currently have it on my d drive right now..
i have no space on my ssd
oh and, i didnt get stuck
ill send you the error
and i have been sent back to the menu..
This is after using the cachedir command?
it appears i have fallen asleep last night
im already using that command, its currently set to my harddrive
I see.. and what happens after you remove the command?
