What FPS are you playing on? Do you use any mods?
this test was with just 3 mods
and this was on 60 FPS although in lower FPS the issue still occur
Can you reproduce it without mods on a new save?
sure, wait
no mods installed this time
apologise for the wait
tested with default lighting updates setting (15)
Are you sure you have 60 FPS? Can you enable the FPS monitor by pressing K?
if i record it'll drop the fps down so I took a screenshot instead
increasing the lighting updates to 60 seems to make it last just a bit shorter
Something seems wrong with your memory, did you perhaps do any modifications to the game?
i've replaced some files in the zombie folder and did some changes to the ProjectZomboid64.bat and .json to allocate more ram
I cannot accept a bug report with you doing that, you would have to revert any custom changes you did to the game
verified file integrity, the muzzle flash issue still happens
You will need to do a clean reinstall, integrity verification does not catch all modifications
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
After that, go to “C:\Users\%UserProfile%\Zomboid” and delete everything there except the “Saves” folder.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps, test it on a new save
