Attempted to enable Debug Mode when updating to the new version to hopefully fix the accelerated gas thing and that caused the game to immediatly crash when opening PZ, so i tried without and it worked fine, but once I tried to open the world it would just give an error

Looks like certain mods haven't updated yet (authenticz for instance).

Ah so give it some time and hopefully it sorts itself on that issue?

  • Uninstall zomboid,
  • delete 'steamapps/common/Project Zomboid' to get rid of leftover / unwanted files from mods,
  • reinstall zomboid,

This ensures you're starting with a clean slate -- you might need to slowly re-enable your mods bit by bit to see which ones cause issue.

Any issues with specific mods should be addressed to the mod author on the workshop page so they're aware of the issues 🍻

Any idea on the enabling -debug causing a crash on startup?

We'd have to check if that still happens on the "clean slate" installation, because a mod could easily mess up the debug mode just the same as starting a new game

mind the ping but im hoping to save a bit on now and future hassle but unsure about how to decode the logs

Mods generally cause issues with vanilla functions, so most of the time the logs wont be too helpful in figuring out what mods cause issues

#

Therefore its best to just test removing them
