Can you make sure to download and install the latest BIOS updates from your motherboard manufacturer? These updates are necessary for your specific line of processors, as the older BIOS versions have a lot of stability issues.

Why would you need an USB?

Some BIOS allow for non-usb installs, but your motherboard might not have that
