hopefully no mods this time, did reinstall and unsubscribed all mods

So it is not modless, I can only suggest disabling them and replicating the issue

forgot to delete users zomboid folder. Done that and reinstalled again

And in cases of crashes, can you share the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid”?

i crashed it again, for the first time it didnt crash using the gun in my third life, instead i crashed when i died the 5th time. Tried to do the crash again and then it crashed again using the gun on 3rd respawn.

also i cant find that hs_err_pid file

test method is, start new world (with starter pack) -> shoot gun -> die -> respawn and repeat from step 2 until it crashes

In that case, can you check the Windows Reliability monitor for any ProjectZomboid application crashes there? If you do find any, can you share a screenshot of the Technical Details section so we can check the errors that show up there?

Hm, a hang error is very generic, it basically means an app stopped responding and has been closed, it does not necessarily mean it crashed though

The logs do not point to anything specific either

Can you try doing a full reinstall?
First, uninstall the game, then go to "Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid" and make sure there are no leftover files or folders there.
Then just install the game again and see if that helps. It is important to manually delete the files. Since you mentioned you reinstalled the game, but there may still be leftovers left.

i did that like 4 or 5 times the last couple days. I just did it yesterday again. How many more times should i reinstall the game?

And are you sure you removed the PZ leftover files

no i only have it running when i want the RGB on my headset microphone off. Even without overclocking i have too much power for 99% of games so i dont overclock. Im handicapped right now because my cores are restricted because intel 13th gen

but the crash still happens without b.net and MSI center if thats what youre getting at. TT RGB Plus is always running though.

To get more info, does it happen when 3rd respawning on the exact same save?

What happens when you restart the game? Can you then load in and aim?

it happens when i load in on an existing world, it happens on a new world, it happens on a new world when i save and load back in

when i restart the game my "counter" is reset

or go into the mainmenu and load back into the save

but it will always happen on the 3rd respawn

i could play without it crashing but i keep forgetting to restart the game.

Interesting, so to check, you have to basically start 3 characters before it crashes?

it happens when i choose no occupation and random character, it also happens when i pick occupation but random character, it also happens when i use presaved character and presaved occupation, traits

the only thing i didnt try is play on another mode than sandbox, i think

I cannot reproduce the issue, started 4 different saves with different characters, tried aiming in all of them

Not sure I can suggest much there, maybe if you can find out the specific reproduction steps I could try those, since otherwise it would not be considered a bug

Especially since there do not seem to be any crash logs unfortunately

u played on apocalypse? Im gonna test it on apocalypse. I always played on custom sandbox

the only setting i changed for testing was the starter kit

still crashes and still no hs_err_pid

You can report the bug to our forums and see if any of the other testers can replicate it
