I was playing pz with friends on a world we have been playing for weeks. New players going in and out, progress made, and suddenly while afk i lost connection to the server as the host, so all were booted. When i tried to reconnect, it gave me a normaltermation error, and that it had timed out. I verified steam files, restarted steam, and nothing. What causes this?
Is it a corrupt world or a network issue? Or any of these are a possibility?
Id like to recover the world, i should mention that it mostly does “initializing world” then it does “creating backup” then back to “initializing world” before finally failing

Yes that seems to be the case, your hard drive space is extremely low
Windows generally recommends keeping at least 10 percent free

I passed the world to others and it didnt work for them either.
I am thinking it might actually be corruption.

I think it may be a combination of the low space causing the corruption

Also something that was confusing me was the server in question is titled KamsNewWorld, but one of the Lua files, I think the one that determines world variables, it is just blank and an empty file

This backup might not work, I am going to send the save direct from the multiplayer folder

I was able to fix it by deleting the players.db file from the server folder
Something seems to have really corrupted the database, though that file contains all the player info
Meaning deleting it preserves the server, but wipes characters

It would not, since I had to delete the character to be able to load in
You may be able to use the backup in case anything important gets deleted hopefully

I deleted players.db and playersjournal.db (i guess an item i had wrote on)
and upon loading the game I still see the delete character option bold
meaning i still have my character
when I go to launch, it does the creating backup still after initializing
Initializing > Creating Backup > Initializing again > Timeout
What step did I miss that it still recognizes the character?
