What settings do I need so groups only form by 5 zombies?

I'm getting mini heart attacks seeing them suddenly popping out of no where on the road.

The settings should be fairly well explained once you hover over them. Rally group size 5 is the default with a 50 percent variance will mean there can be groups of up to 8.

There is also the rally travel distance, since not all zombies are part of a group

Even at the maximum distnace, you will still run into some stragglers

Is the image above normal with this setting? A group of more than 15 zombies on the road in the middle of nowhere. I have not explored these areas yet, migration and respawn are off.

I was hoping to limit it to just 3-5 Zs.

It looks normal to me, you would need to limit the sizes and variance and sizes more to have 3-5

And even then they would instead create a bigger group composed of smaller groups
