The main reason people used the spear is the insane crit chance on them which meant even when exhausted you could still kill zs
Plus the low exhaustion gain from using them. Imo thats all that needed to be adressed

If they wanna keep it nerfed they should just make it that your crit chance plummets with exhaustion. Or drop the jaw stab since the frame locking is quite dangerous while fighting. now even more since it dosn't even kill the guy
or atleast let the crit do proper damage. I use dmg numbers and health bars and a jaw stab does sometimes measly 0.8 dmg -.-
Indie Stone, after the last changes to occupations (+1 maint. to already strong ones), the trait Handy has been thrown to the ground, specially compared against the other 2 traits that also give +1 maint., I think its price should go down to 6, same as blacksmith knowledge.

the loot from what I found is p good, the gun club itself wasn't all too special, just guns, some attachments and loads of ammo, but I've found like 7 military survivor zombies

I think the "veteran" profession is very unrealistic and with the updated firearm system it's just broken. I suggest replacing the "desensitized" skill with PTSD so the character will have a panic attack every time
every time there's a loud noise. It would made "veteran" more realistic/balanced and it'll piss off firearm mains which is even better
The majority of people were complaining before the last patch veteran wasn't good enough
imo it's a balanced profession, it's still worthwhile to choose the police officer instead as you naturally become 'densensitized' later on in the game

Lots of checks were added to stop this from occurring, unfortunately, it's still occurring. It's not a matter of ignoring it. We don't have solid reproduction steps as to why it's still occurring in some places. Then we have people using mods that may have an effect on top of that making bug reports invalid.
If you do have any known reproduction steps that cause this to occur, that would certainly help get it fixed.
Are concrete floors possible? I remember doing it in B41 with bags of concrete and buckets, but I can't remember if that was vanilla or soulfilcher's masonry mod.

End Tally of clearing the check point of luisville: Around 4500 Zombies killed (Population set to High) No Car no Fire. Shooting wen't from 3 to 9, axe from 2 to 8 and long blunt from 5 to 7. Also i leveled butchering twice from all the rats and mice i used to get food in the two weeks of non stop fighting xD

I noticed this happens when you you fast forward (x6, I was exercising and reading skill books). Also, I had a male chicken, the coop was already built, also, something that I did is putting food in a crate, I don't usually do it but I did in that specific save.
I didn't use any big mods, just some quality of life like simple moodles, combat text, weapon durability showing, weapon info, and simple status
nothing that would change the gameplay

yeah i have no idea what causes it i have never come across it but i havent been using hutches?
Happened to me without any mods at all and I posted on the forums - I found a farm with chickens and tried to take one out of the hutch, and I got it but a copy also stayed in the hutch. When I put that chicken in my hutch and it tried to leave in the morning multiple copies just kept walking out lol
So its almost like the first chicken was corrupt or something
Notably it hasn't happend at all since, I just don't take chickens out of prebuilt hutches, only off the map walkingh

chickens enter the hutch and then they go out
is when the chickens are exiting the hutch when this problem occurs
When using the fast forward button, the game doesn't read well the action of the chicken going out of the hutch, resulting in one chicken exiting the hutch while the hutch itself can't read the command (due to fast forward) and still reads that a chicken is still inside
therefore, endless identical chickens appear out of the hutch, because the game reads said chicken to have never left the hutch

I've been testing the chickens without mods, it happens specially with huge fast forward (x1000, in debug mode)
I hope you get a read of this, it took me half an hour testing it with already existing chickens, spawned chickens from the debug menu, chickens in abandoned trailers, naturally generated hutches and built hutches
days passed normally and they never cloned, is when you use fast forward that the thing happens

On my run double wooden gate bugged, I tried to build 3 times: resources used (and lost)without gate being constructed (but Exp in carpentry gained). Just for test I tried to build a wooden crate and that is ok. Only double gate for vehicles is bugged (tried also to reboot the game)

There's a muzzle flash originating in the barrel but then the 3d bullets seem to tp to the red line
the muzzle flash is physically attached to the shotgun model, but if we trace the trajectory through the middle of the shot cluster back to the character, it was clearly fired from the balls
because by default the character's balls are the centre of the screen, and its a flat top-down circle they're using for the bullet trajectory, starting from centre screen
What's strange is that apparently the 'aim detect' radius is essentially two rectangles glued together going out from the barrel of the gun (distance from character depends on the length of the barrel and seemingly this is why you can't kill prone zombies with shotguns)
As in, you won't be able to trigger the character to aim at them.

Assuming they have bones (they likely do for anims), they could probably do a code input that actually physically jitters the characters aim / arms in relation to moodle values
it should not be a weird combo of rng and aim, either you have green outline RNG system, or you put it all entirely on player skill with pointing the crosshair, but don't do both because then you end up with garbage that noone can use

yes, as a visual indicator of widened aim cone, but you still dont use green outline RNG while also asking the player to precisely position a crosshair, if you have a crosshair you remove the green outline RNG and you leave it to the player to place the crosshair and therefore the aim cone in the correct location and honour it when they get it right, you do not under any circumstances make the player position the crosshair and aim cone properly and then just roll a dice and say "lol 0 damage get fucked boi"
The aim values need to be readjusted heavily. That's literally 10 or so meters in the screenshot and you can see how big the cone is.

here's an example of what i mean demonstrated using barotrauma: the gun always points at the crosshair and fires towards the crosshair, and if a bullet collides with a target it always does the damage it is supposed to, and if you aim at a greater distance, the aim cone is wider, but the bullets you fire will still function as bullets if they hit something, it does not randomly decide that you missed for no reason, and it does not randomly decide that a landed shot does 0 damage because it wasn't the target you directly aimed at

At the very least, if the point of origin is from the groins, then the blue line should have intersected towards where the cursor is located.

think of it like a first person shooter with a hipfire crosshair that changes size to indicate an area in which the bullet will land, the bullet may go off from the centre but if it does happen to hit something then the bullet will function as a bullet and simply do the damage it is supposed to do
if you have low skill or moodles that is a large crosshair, if you are calm and high skill then its a small crosshair
but when it is a small crosshair, that means it is now up to player skill not RNG
Personally I think if you put in the work to level up from 0 to 10 in however much time it'd take (realistically months to years), you should be rewarded with the ability to consistently get kills with your weapon of choice, lol.
And because the 'advice' would be to zoom in your pov (so as to put the crosshair more accurately), you'd still immerse yourself in actually tunnel-visioning.
Which in turn means you're not omniscient and can still be put in a lot of danger by hordes converging on your position.

Nothing actually changed between doing that at lvl 0 and at lvl 10.
here's an example of what i mean (pretend that is a living zombie standing there)
the bullet's trajectory will garaunteed pass somewhere through the white circle, higher skill makes that circle smaller so the bullet is more predictable, if the bullet intersects with the head of a zombie anywhere along its path then it applies its damage to that zombie
and that includes zombies nearer to and further from the player than the circle, if the bullet crosses path with a zombie's head at any point during the bullet's existence it should just apply the damage to whatever zombie it hit
this would also mean spraying into a crowd has a much higher likelyhood of hitting something, instead of the current system which hits nothing a majority of the time
and it should not have any RNG beyond the random offset within the white circle and the slight randomness of damage (that i assume the guns still have?)
This is not a first person shooter, those are about player skill purely. What works for a game may not work for other games, specially of a different genre
look past the example of FPS, of course this isn't an FPS, but that doesn't mean you are excluded from at least drawing inspiration from some of their features

No, I do agree with you, but from my experience even at aim 10 you still don't get good headshots as often as you should. Lets assume aiming at level 0 is someone who has never held a gun, who hasn't shot once, perfectly fine. And a person at level 10 lets say they're extremely proficient, someone who could pass for an olympic shooter.
The amount of times from my experience that medium-range hits haven't ended in a kill is more than it should realistically be. It's not 100 meters, it's not 200 meters, 10-25-50 meters at most.

Akshually, if it was up to accuracy 'stats' -- the m16 at the ranges most players shoot at would effectively be on-the-dot.
Apparently it has an accuracy of 11 cm @ 100 meters; in-game, we obviously don't shoot at that range.
But yes, the m14 is more accurate than the m16.

wearing glasses with short sighted should help with firearm accuracy and aiming.
so by my personal experience, depend by the position, the prone one is the most uncomfortable ever, the helmet even when it well fasten sometimes it can move make you adjusted a bit sometimes when u turn your head also it move a bit, is very uncomfortable and gave me discomfort to wear it, u sweat a lot so u must clean your eyes,and the side view is pretty blocked causing you to turn your head. if u have to aim in front of u and it did't move it's okay, but if even for a bit it move cause it-s to big u are constantly adjust it, i think in terms of the game should't be a factor for the aim but mostyly the discomfort and the cone of view, i would say more discomfort u are wearing more your aim should have a malus

About the aiming and shooting issue, I would like to request for an accessibility feature where you can see the previous bullet trajectories until you fire your next one.

I think I've solved the chickenpocalypse problem. The solution is clear. Predators must be introduced to cull the numbers of the chickens. B42 needs to add bears to eat the chickens. Also feral dogs or wolves.
All Indie Stone has to do is recreate the entire ecological process, that can't be too hard right?

it's not bugged, it won't be like B41 plumbing, you will get boilers and pipes and other worstations required to bring back heat water and power to a house, it will be reworked now with all the new mechanics they have going on
