#what about problems with RAM consumption? Has anything changed regarding it? I just didn't find

16 gb ram .
of which the game uses at least 9,5gb . and loads the process up to 100%
and my game crashes and leaves, losing part of the save
but I also have an AMD card
I saw in the new patch that this problem with AMD cards was fixed. But I am not inclined to think that my problem has been solved and at the same time I really hope that at least there will be no crashes with a black screen, with a large loss of progress from the last game
Do you have an integrated card perhaps?
can you elaborate, I'm a little confused

i dual boot linux and i am curious in to which whats up with ram on linux on zomboid 👁️
An integrated card means that the card is built into the CPU, they are generally very underpowered and have to use RAM as memory
While Dedicated cards are used for gaming / work, they are actually slotted or built into the motherboard
I can check which card you have if you tell me its name
It is being investigated still, but it seems like there is a memory leak on Linux specifically
Likely due to how the update handles RAM allocation for caching

ye, i have same type
In this case, I literally have 0 chances to influence something except to update the components?
You can turn off all background programs and lower the game settings
But otherwise, you are correct
my card is integrated, does that mean I have no chance of playing b42 then, Im stuck with b41?
Not at the current patch, that is what I said means
i know, but due to the way b42 uses ram and the changes it has made to the engine
is there any scenario where it performs the same as b41 in older systems? is what I meant to ask
Yes certain systems would not see performance improvements
