For the context - The server has only 4 slots and we are playing with 2 people on it.

#

this is the current mods list, that we have installed:
The Walking Dead Project-Pack;desperateCrafting;lgd_antibodies;ReLght;BetterSortCC;RainCleansBlood;TheStar;QuitSmoking

Are you able to replicate this without mods? Since these types of errors are mainly caused by mod issues

And to confirm - this RAM usage and the dozens of exact same zombies is definitely not normal, correct?

You have to first be an admin to see it with the /grantadmin "Username" command

#

As for mods, removing them during gameplay is mostly safe, but it will remove the mod items permanently.
Therefore I recommend making a manual backup of the save before you add or remove any mods

#

The saves are in C:\Users%UserProfile%\Zomboid\Saves\Multiplayer

I have rented the server from g-portal. I rented 7168 (7GB) RAM. The consumption told me up to 7400 MB RAM

#

I just have deleted all mods and restarted the server.

I would not trust the RAM reports of the hosting services

The way Java works is that it reserves the RAM for itself, meaning you have to check the actual RAM usage and not a RAM monitor

#

Since Java can reserve 7gb RAM but only use 3gb

#

But a monitor would still show 7gb "used"

#

When in actuality it is not

teal grail
#

how do I do that ingame?

Did Gportal give you an admin account?

teal grail
#

I have an admin password, yes

plucky geode
#

It is unliklely that it is a RAM issue though as explained above

teal grail
#

if that is what it is 😄

You can connect to the server with the "admin" username and that password

#

Then you have access to the admin features

teal grail
#

ok, Im connected

#

how do I open the admin settings now?

plucky geode
#

Admin panel on the left side

#

Show Statistics

teal grail
#

that looks ok, it seems

#

this is without any mods

#

I´ve seen there is an admin feature "remove all zombies" when I right click

#

does that delete ALL zombies, or within a range?

plucky geode
#

Within the loaded range

#

You can see the max is set to 7.5 so Gportal might report it as such

#

Either way the garbage collector would clean it even if it hits the max, you should basically never run out of RAM

teal grail
#

oh I understand

#

within the loaded range. is that my screen? or how big is that?

Basically how far your character can see
