Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users%UserProfile%\Zomboid?
there you go
actually I just caught this sow walking through the fence, being chased by all it's piglets.
I have the impression that the sows sometime pick a spot to feed their pigs that is outside of the fences and then just completely ignore the gate
It could be considered a bug, can you check your animal zone in the screenshot? And how was the fence built exactly?
As you can see in this image I've constructed the barrier/fence with a combination of wood walls, wood fences, wooden boxes and the existing structure/fence at the containers.
Escaping animals is about a daily occurance now, both male and female pigs escape and both the female cows. Frank the bull is a good old boy and knows his place.
As for the piglets and calfs, they go wherever their mom goes and they WILL walk through walls if they're in between. I kind of appreciate that part actually.
for me, i have a animal zone bigger than my fences area. cows act normally and stay inside of it, but pigs faze trough the walls 😭 scary
I might suggest reporting it as a bug in that case if it is specific animals randomly escaling and phasing through walls:
