Im getting extremely frustrated with not being able to drive on the map on a friends server because i am constatntly hitting these black cells. does anyone know what is causing this issue and how to fix it. I currently have allocated 20g of ram to the game out of 64g.

Generally caused by mods or bad ping to the server

@faint wagon yes on the mods, ping is between 58-88 on the regular but sometimes jumps up to 500-1000. Is it the amount of mods or the size of them? Also will build 42 be working on how the map loads?
I love the game to death, but it is really frustrating to not be able to play with friends due to black cells on map, and when a friend drives, they are moving and you’re not. Those are my two biggest issues.

Neither the amount nor the size, but the quality
If you use just a single mod that is hard on loading the cells then it will cause issues
I can only suggest replicating it without mods, that may fix your black cell issue
As for driving with friends, that still needs work on our side

Neither of those, usually mods that add new features that have to check for cells
Expanded Helicopters comes to mind as it is an expansive mod, but I do not think it has many performance problems
