Oh yes, I raise sheep and I have a male and two females of the same species, but I don't know if I need to do anything to make them mate. I think they do it naturally.

They do it naturally. I went to move my pigs and suddenly had babies running around everywhere. There is a setting for year round babies, too, which ignores heat cycles and such.

As you said, it's probably natural. The chicken farm was somewhere else. At first there were only 2 animals.
