My project zomboid refuses to work

Ive deleted the game over and over again even going into the files deleting that and it still just not working even after downloading from scratch it just runs for like 10 seconds at 60 fps then drops to 1 fps to then just not working and the music still playing i have no idea what is causing it i need help

forgot to say this but i cant get past the make your character part without it crashing

Are you using an AMD card?

And are you expecting this on B42 or B41

idk im using a laptop and im trying to try B42 and for some reason it also gives me a black screen that says loading mods which doesnt make any sense

Did you unsub from all your mods?

yeah

i even checked the mods tab in the main menu and theres nothing there

i also do all, even update drivers windows 10, i keep getting black screen, crash,drop fps, but is the AMD

Well then either your laptop uses an AMD graphics card in which case there's nothing you can except wait or the issue is completely different and in that case you should submit a bug report with your logs.zip file

turns out i have an amd graphics card

but im still not sure thats the complete problem because the last two times i tried to play it completely bricked my computer

Yep it's the same issue then, cuz that same exact thing happened to me

This is a known issue at the moment, it is related to the PC running out of RAM, which spirals into terrible performance and sometimes crashes, we are working on a fix for it.

@surreal wren sinceramente no pasa de vez en cuando, pasa todas las veces que intento iniciar y es frustrante, debido a que no me parece justo que porque ponga "inestable" te puedas cubrir las espaldas, una cosa es in game que caigas infinitamente o cualquier otro bug, y otra bastante grave es QUE NO PUEDAS NI INICIARLO despues de haber pagado, fui uno de los primeros que descubrio a los 3 minutos de que se habia lanzado la build y 3 dias despues aqui sigo con mas de 25 intentos frustracion tras frustacion y yo entiendo que alomejor es dificil pero lo que no comparto es que nisiquiera pueda entrar al juego sabiendo que probablemente la siguiente acualizacion se lleve acabo en 1 o dos años, creo que es momento de desinstalar y olvidar, porque como somos pocos a los que les pasa pues no importara ya deje mis 20 euros y ya esta, asi q nada frustrado te digo que puedes seguir copiando y pegando mensajes de this is a know issue we will fix it in 40 years gw
