Extreme lag in the menu and character creation [Build 42]

What's happening to me is "simple": when I open Zomboid, the main screen and character creation have normal FPS at first, but after a while, the FPS gradually drops until it becomes completely laggy and eventually crashes (normal launch). If I use the alternative launch, it either stops responding or freezes completely.

I've already uninstalled and reinstalled Zomboid, gone to Users/MyUser/Zomboid, removed everything, and it didn't help. I've also restarted my PC, and nothing worked.

If I try to quickly skip ahead and start the game directly, it just keeps loading indefinitely. I'd like to know what I can do to fix this, or if I should just wait for an update to solve it.

This is a known issue at the moment, it is related to the PC running out of RAM, which spirals into terrible performance and sometimes crashes.

Do you know if it's possible for me to resolve this? I unfortunately only have 8GB RAM

And I also have an AMD card, and I saw that several people who have AMD were having this problem
