#Black Screen on Launch
498 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I have the same exact problem
seconded. deleting cache (all the user settings) yielded nothing
i already tried restarting steam, pz, and my computer
also debug mode has nothing to do with it, and alternate launch doesnt fix it
I tried validating, deleting all workshop stuff like nothing wokrs
its some sort of bug
I hope they fix it soon
Same problem here
haven't tried unsubbing to all my workshop mods yet but otherwise idk what to do
I tried to unsub and nothing
Same here
well shit
However at first I didn't hear the music but after unsubbing and launching the b41 I do. Still black screen though
I messed with fullscreen/windowed and same result
Yea fullscreen shows, cursor shows, and steam overlay works as normal
Me too
black screen though
I can hear the UI in the background I just cant see anything
idk might have something to do with graphics cards?
like when I move my cursor
Could be? What do you guys have
RX6600
i have AMD graphics
I doubt its that
Same
Huh
Amd here too
If I had to hedge my bets probably something to do with AMD cards
:(
Possible
Ima go back to b41 and see if the settings can be tweaked into the beta
I mean sample size of a couple of people but so far I'm seeing a pattern here
Or unstable
What do you mean?
I might just wait until tomorrow and see if anything changes
Like lowering graphics
I have a similar issue and also have an amd card fwiw
Probably easier to go into the settings ini in the zomboid folder
the main menu works fine but loading into the game causes issues
Huh
Ah yes I forgot logs exist XD
yeah i also am using an amd card
i got an rx 570 4gb
so this things drivers are pretty outdated and i got the same identical issue
just on alternate launch it's giving me that warning and i'm wondering if it's got anything to do with that
yea same error in my logs
same error too
I'll probably leave it for a few days since I feel like there are a shitload of bugs coming out of the woodwork now
Yep same
How recent are everyone's cards here?
rx 570 4gb
driver updates for this thing stopped a while ago if i recall correctly
but the guy with the 6600 should still be getting updates
For me same but yea the guy with the 6600 should be fine
rx6600, 2021
I feel like it might just be a general problem with AMD cards having issues
if he ain't it could just be a bug in general
i did update a few days ago
fresh install of the game and everything but yeah no same blackscreen with menu music
My setup is particularly scuffed but considering the similar errors I feel like this is a specific AMD problem
It has to be, good night guys
Good night
Hopefully this will get acknowledged before the devs go off on break XD
pray to god
🙏
i'll see one more hail mary and then i'll head off
You too
nevermind i got a guy with an rx 6600 who's getting the same warning but his game is launching perfectly
So it’s not that
leaving a message incase it gets fixed
The hell could it be then?
This is confusing bruh
Ive launched it and the last like 3 times I didnt get the message but the screen is still black
Anyway hope a dev sees this or smth
Same issue here, AMD card
are u guys experiencing black screen on menu?
yup
i can hear the sound of the menu buttons if i move my mouse, and the music
but black screen
same here
Yeah same problem
ill check if on b41 is normal
ive been able to play b41
and its normal?
Yes
Seemed to be, yeah
FOUND A SOLUTION: Update your drivers for GPU by downloading correct file on AMD site here is the link
Manually search for your card at the bottom
Their auto launcher thing does not work
I have 580 and this worked
yours legacy too i reckon?
What is legacy in gpu terms
i dont understand
Nothing is legacy as long as it is supported
it's this a AMD only problem ?
to longer maintained card. that no longer recieves driver updates
Then you need to go to the store and spend 300$
genius
To check for any settings issues just in case, I would suggest going to “C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid” and deleting everything there except the “Saves” folder.
already did. nothing.
Can you share your logs.zip file found in C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid?
Gotta hope this is fixable since my GPU definitely doesn’t get new drivers anymore
lmao
Thank you very much, it worked to delete the files
If you have similar issues, I would suggest making your own thread about it
im in the middle of creating a topic on the forum. do i need to post it, or should we stick to discord?
Do you need to verify files and all that after that’s done or will the game auto regenerate them?
You can specifically stick around since you are the only one posting the logs at this moment
Just starting the game would regenerate them
Cheers
Can you also share the latest “hs_err_pid” file found in your main game folder “Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid”?
i can do both. just say so
it is 22.12.2023 for some reason
Yeah that does not seem right, is there no more recent log there?
If there is not, can you check the Windows Reliability monitor for any ProjectZomboid application crashes there? If you do find any, can you share a screenshot of the Technical Details section so we can check the errors that show up there?
https://www.computerworld.com/article/3575353/troubleshooting-windows-10-with-reliability-monitor.html
https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/sk-sk/000178177/how-to-use-windows-reliability-monitor-to-identify-software-issues
no, sorted by name, nothing newer, unfortunately
this might take some time...
Trying it now
all clear, nothing for 18.12.2024
to clarify, the game doesnt crash, it is missing the UI. i can hear the music, audio feedback when i try to navigate menu blindly, cursor is visible, steam overlay can be opened, but thats it, a black screen.
so im forced to alt+f4 it
My mistake, I must have assumed a crash.
In that case, I would suggest going to the C:\Users\YourUserName\Zomboid folder and edit the options.ini file with a text editor.
In that file, edit the fullscreen=true line to fullscreen=false
Then try launching the game again.
Just to check if it would be resolution related
the result.
also it seems everyone here has radeon gpus
same here
Yes that seems to be the one commonality
We will likely have to look into the issue further to check for any driver limitations
But if you want to try an experimental fix to try and get the game to run
I would suggest installing this:
https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9nqpsl29bfff?hl=en-US&gl=US
This compatibility pack allows more of your favorite OpenCL™, OpenGL®, and Vulkan® apps to run on a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC that doesn't have these hardware drivers installed by default. If a DirectX 12 driver is installed, supported apps will run with hardware acceleration for better performance. This package supports apps that use OpenCL v...
ik since the game is a unstable build that this might occur
Restart your PC after installing as well
will give it a shot right now
Let me know if it helps run it, since that would give us a clue
uh.. is there an offline installer?
im trying rn the this one Beard
Offline in what way?
im getting an error from the 1mb .exe "unable to download". id attach a screenshot, but its in cyrillic
Can you make sure that your Windows Store is up to date?
You will need to go to the Store app and check for updates
funny enough whenever i manually find the pack, store crashes.
aight, will do.
so. i never before used MS store.
if i open its settings - it crashes
if i open the compatibility pack page - it crashes.
other pages load fine
there's nothing to search for to update in my ms store library
i wish someone else here was active too
In theory, there is a third way to basically force opengl compatibility
all ears
https://github.com/pal1000/mesa-dist-win/releases
Download mesa3d-24.3.1-release-msvc.7z
Open the file, then extract the stuff inside the x64 folder to the main game folder
That is all, I do not suggest touching anything else as you could break your drivers
I also suggest either tracking the files, or making sure you clean reinstall the game in the future
there's nothing about pz that im bothered to preserve, so i dont mind just nuking it all
Its more so for the future, in case it fails to work
aight.
x64 contents
to
pz root folder
i already can see difference. the loading text
It worked
🙂
BOOM, WE'RE GOLDEN
Try loading in first, what the driver basically does is translate opengl to dx
holy shit that was an intricate solution
Which can cause some weirdness, which is why I consider it an experimental fix
booting tutorial level
Nobody should do this basically
If possible, I would suggest making a bug report with your graphics card, so we can look into the driver issues, since if the game works using that workaround it would point to it being a driver problem:
https://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php?/topic/43261-read-here-first-bug-reporting-guideformatting
i've hd7950. its drivers are in legacy for at least 4 years now, i might be not the best person for that
No you would be perfect actually
Those drivers should in theory still run the game just fine
We are not deprecating 4 year old gpus / drivers
The latest ones that are deprecated are 8 year old ones
UV map on the char went apeshit
also i notice some occasional window-wide flickering
Yes that will happen with the experimental fix
im glad you think that way. i was able to play cp2077 and bg3 on that card, not without fsr, but still.
it'd be very frustrating to hear that i need a fresh gpu for an indie game with low requirements
thought about discarding the post i was writing, do i need to attack dxdiag to it or...?
what kind of logs should i include.
edit: just to be thorough i'll reinstall my gpu drivers via DDU now
The old console + err pid mainly
the 2023 one is still the oldest though
oh shit. what a blind idiot i am
user error, user error, you saw nothing
i'll duplicate it on the forum
btw
did a clean driver reinstall via DDU - no effect
Yeah it looks like other AMD cards have similar issues, we will need to look into it, I wont be able to help further probably
Best to check for any future Unstable updates / news
As long as I don't end up needing to get a new setup
aye, figures there wont be an immediate fix.
do i monitor my topic on the forum. or should i expect to see a mention of amd drivers fix in future patchnotes?
Likely the latter, since we might not be able to respond to every single report
I am grouping them up so we know the priorities + similarities though
i wont be needed there with any additional logs or fix solutions then. cool.
thank you a ton for the help
Thank you. It worked for me
Same problem, and fixed with that. Thanks!
it dont worked for me
That fix is really experimental, just so you know
If you use it, you will not get support and cannot post any issues with it
Because you are using custom drivers at that point
Its more of a band aid to allow you to play while we fix the actual issue
okay
so i gonna wait for it
have a good christmas beard
oh my god it worked now
LOL
thanks beard
Understable, thanks so much.
Since the experimental fix is getting a bit more traction than I expected, there should be a way to improve the weird graphical issues, I will write a guide here since it is slightly complex:
zink. This driver introduced in MinGW package in 21.0.0 and MSVC package in 21.2.0 it's available for both x86 and x64 as part of Mesa3D Desktop OpenGL bundle opengl32.dll or libgallium_wgl.dll if the latter is available. Similarly to GLonD3D12, it operates as wrapper returning Vulkan API calls. Due to this nature it uses GPU acceleration by default but it supports software rendering too. Select it via GALLIUM_DRIVER=zink environment variable, but note that it requires at least 1 Vulkan device and Vulkan loader/runtime to initialize. zink ignored Vulkan CPU type devices by default until 22.1.0. Nowdays it uses a priority system that automatically selects a Vulkan CPU type device if no higher priority Vulkan type device exists. You can test zink with Vulkan CPU type devices only by setting LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 (Mesa 22.1.0 and newer) or ZINK_USE_LAVAPIPE=true (deprecated in Mesa 22.1.0).
The zink driver can improve the issues, you will have to enable it by adding the GALLIUM_DRIVER=zink in your Environment Variables
You can access them by going to your System Properties, also called 'Advanced system settings'
System Variables > New Variable
Press OK > Apply > Start game
As mentioned again, this is not an official fix, this is only something I found to force the game to run on the AMD cards that have issues at this moment, we will be working on finding a fix to make the game run without doing all of this extra nonsense. I have to make that extra clear
The problem is not only with amd cards, but also with nvidia/intel. It my log.
Your log shows that you use an unsupported Intel card
Do you have the Nvidia card connected to this PC?
It is also very much unrelated to the issue in this thread
I have a laptop with an integrated intel graphics card and a discrete nvidia 920m, I was also confused that the 920m graphics card does not appear anywhere in the logs, but only intel. I will check if it is used when working with other graphics programs, any other games, as well as in build 41. Everything worked fine in build 41 (i.e. even if we assume that it didn't work, then everything worked on the construction site, it turns out that it was supported by older versions of the game?).
didn't work for me
Did you install the Nvidia driver in your Linux distro? Since that card needs a specific legacy driver to be installed
The x390 one if I remember correctly
Yes, the nvidia proprietary driver for my graphics card has been compiled, assembled, and installed on my system.
Which one? Just to confirm it is the correct one
Because new cards require the latest 500+ driver
While your specific one requires the legacy one, they are basically two different packages
You could likely run the game if we manage to make it use the Nvidia card
Game wont load with that, at least on my PC, so I disabled it back.
Nvidia driver version 470.256.02 is installed on my system. Build41 starts and works correctly for me, unstable 42 also starts and works, but like many, I just have a black screen, the game does not seem to draw the contents of its window, but at the same time plays music.
You can share B41 logs in that case if you want to check if the card is used there
Zomboid is freezing after few seconds on the main menu, btw any "hs_err_pid" file are being created
It's not a black screen, i can see the main menu, but freezes
If your issue is unrelated to the OP, then you make your own thread
Unfortunately, B41 does not create a log with the same content as unstable creates it. I.e., there is no information in the B41 logs, not only about the video card, but even about the processor, about the OS, and so on, there is generally some nonsense. Here is an example of what kind of log B41 creates.
You may need to clear the Zomboid folder after switching between versions
Since log creation is not compatible between versions without doing that
please someone can tell where i download the executable? i am lost in this site rsrsrsrs
You might not want to download it if you have issues finding it, since as said it is fairly advanced "hack" more or less
But you can try simply scrolling down
beard warned you though
i donwloaded the first option and i will see if its ok, i can play the game but with 8 12 fps with radeon rx570 :S, the game is eating all my 16gb ram and all my 4 gb gpu ram 😦
i think wait the sup fix is the best
Could you share a screenshot of your task manager when that happens? Specifically the Performance section
Would be very helpful since I am gathering data of the severity and when the issue happens
yes .. here?
before open the game:
now i will open the game
int the menu screen:
playing:
now with zoom out:
do you have by any chance an idea why would the window close automatically whenever i attempt to open sys properties?
tried executing via cmd Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and sfc /scannow - didnt help.
Perfect, appreciate it
Which window exactly?
The variables?
sys properties winsow. or even from here
Good afternoon, I wanted to know if someone could help me with the problem I have.
It happens that when I enter the pz I get stuck on a black screen and it doesn't load, but when I move the cursor I can click on the buttons.
What is your graphics card?
What happens when you go to your search > advanced system settings
i play on laptop
opens up alright. thx.
if nothing goes wrong again, going to try that fix you pinned
is normal when I load the solution, all textures start to bug?
What is your graphics card
Yes it is very normal
Because it is not really a solution
think of it more as placing a bandaid on an amputated leg
AMD A8-7410 APU with AMD Radeon R5 Graphics
So you just extract everything from that zip file into "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid"?
This is currently a known problem with some older dedicated and newer integrated AMD cards, such as yours, we are aware of the issue and are working on a fix.
No, re-read what I said, and read it carefully or you can basically break your drivers
so can't play for now? Right?
Correct, the issue will need to be fixed on our side
Right I won't mess with it then just incase i miss understand I was just wondering if it'd even work for me at all because I have an R9 380
thxs for all
so. when i do that, the game just doesnt boot up.
i hit play on steam lib page, it thinks for a short period then the button turns "play" again.
win reliability monitor shows no events around that time.
if i delete that sys variable, pz starts up with mesa files as usual
Only thing I found weird is when I first started the game I got the first problem being main menu would load but no text
Then after trying again it went to the black screen and is always that now
It might work on some GPUs and not on others, since it basically switches from DirectX translation to Vulkan
And not all graphics cards have the best Vulkan support, so it is a lottery at that point
But Vulkan would fix the graphics issues
well, i recall having some games with most recent vulkan version having issues, a bit older games worked fine though, even better compared to dx11. screen capture though was a pita
So basically, there's no solution until the devs fix it?
From what I've read so far it seems the all the amd GPUs using legacy drivers are affected right? So basically the entirety of the HD series, older RX GPUs (2xx to 5xx)
i need a clarification. This problem happens only to people that has an AMD? or anyone that has an Intel too?
The RX 480 and the RX 580 shouldn't be affected by this though
It seems to be affecting people with cards that can't render "newer" versions of OpenGL
Dang it, and how i can solve it? I suppose we need to wait for a fix, if there's any, right?
Newer being tricky because the odds of a 2016+ card having the same capabilities of a 2011 HD 6520g are low
i have a CPU that is kinda old, almost 10 years, so yeah, i guess it won't work at all
not even with 16 GB of ram
I also have an R9 380, didnt work for me
If your card is new enough to support Vulkan and you're just being fucked by obsolete drivers (for a GPU that no longer received updates) do the fix from here #1318697278747185284 message
I never had issues doin Vulkan before but idk
It's complicated, there's 2011 GPUs that have support for Vulkan, and wouldn't be able to run anything on Vulkan beyond 3 fps if you get what I mean 😂
We probably won't get a decent solution until the devs give us an option to fallback to the previous renderer
Makes sense but would the R9 380 have an issue with Vulkan?
i've hd7950, and it was able to run doom eternal at 55-60fps, as well as bg3 (latter patches, first couple of versions wouldnt boot up and spit out an error)
Yeeah, but the issues is not the hardware capabilities of the GPU in this case
I've had a similar issue before on renpy games, and changing the renderer solved the issue, the options is called literally "Force ANGLE renderer"
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/ANGLE_(software) when you check what it does it's pretty much the fix from beard
ANGLE (Almost Native Graphics Layer Engine) is an open source, cross-platform graphics engine abstraction layer developed by Google. ANGLE translates OpenGL ES 2/3 calls to DirectX 9, 11, OpenGL or Vulkan API calls. It is a portable version of OpenGL but with limitations of OpenGL ES standard.
The API is mainly designed to bring up a high-perf...
I can't tell, but if the fix didn't work, maybe using dXVK could help
How to do that?
Don't know if it'll work with zomboid on windows like this, but procedure in theory should be the same as the previous fix https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases
dxvk-2.5.1.tar.gz does nothing for me
the second one doesnt even look like it is applicable for win os
Do not use all the DLL's btw
There's also another thing called voodoo which is meant for even older GPUs
Which dlls should I use?
Try with d3d9 first, if that doesn't work to for d3d11 together with dxgi
and you said it should be the same just drop into the Win64 folder?
The DLLs from win64 folder into the root of zomboid
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ProjectZomboid\win64 so here right lol?
No, into the root
What does tracking the files mean?
Where the game executable is
Uhm game just sits in the background with d3d11 and dxgi
Black screen? Right
Give it a min, and if it doesn't start eating more ram just close it
wait i dont get it do i just put all the files in to the root folder of zomboid?
Yeah nah not doing anything
My man you downloaded the source, not the compiled files
Weird thing, it does open for me, but I still get the black screen, granted the other fix didn't work either on this laptop due it running a prehistoric GPU, but I had hopes it'd work for your r9 380, let's try something else
yeah just tried the others just to see but nothing on any of them
I would have thought the R9 380 would have been fine theres only been a few games I haven't been able to play that i can even think of lol
Im reading this currently https://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/ReadmeGeneral/
But i feel that if this even worked to begin with for this particular case, it'd do more harm than good lol
Idk what I should even specifically read in all of this lol
Hey @barren heart sorry about the ping, but can u tell me whats the main game folder? is it on C: ?
bruv
uhh i maybe have some serious mental disorder
Forget it, this thing in particular is cursed
Fair enough lol
I wonder if these issues can be avoided altogether in linux
a shame mesa causes so much flickering, i wont mind to play with messed up uv maps, but i do mind earning a seizure
Did you try out the zink thing beard mentioned?
F
Well, completely unrelated, but a phone with mobox could theorically run project zomboid better than our computers as things are right now 😂
Insane
Yes actually that seems to be the case
i thought about dual booting linux to try if anything improves, but im not that desperate, even though i plan to move to linux alltogether eventually
windows defender blocks this as a trojan
shit, now that beard said, i wonder. will live usb environment be enough for a test
I have an HDD laying around somewhere with arch, i could swap to linux to test
Try something like CachyOS
all my drives are occupied with various stuff
nah, i've mint iso
It would be a false positive
Was saying because you probably wouldn't have to install much stuff on cachy to run games, but that works too
still wont let any browser download it
You gotta click the windows defender notification and allow it
iirc PZ runs as native on linux. even then, i dont need a lot of stuff. proton/bottles
You are on AMD, you have drivers already installed by default on basically all distros
Nvidia would be a bit trickier
Meaning it should run off the USB
Asasuming there are no space issues
My main question is are we gunna be able to play PZ eventually without having to do anything like these things, is it to early to tell, or is it just going to be a hardware problem that the players just gotta upgrade for?
ima flash 16gig drive, then let yall know how it turned out. would be hilarious if the new bandaid for that issue is for everyone to dualboot linux.
shit, i'd move to linux long ago if not for some software and gdpi stuff
Fair enough, I wanted to use linux as daily driver too, but while everything runs better there, when it comes to games with a GPU as old as the one in this laptop, if the game doesn't run better than on windows, it runs horribly worse due to lack of vulkan support from this GPU
I think it was somewhere mentioned that there was going to be an option to fallback to the previous renderer, or something related to make older hardware run with it, but don't quote me on this
Yes
Unless you think we are just gonna let anyone with a 4+ year old GPU out to dry
Some of these are 2+ actually
mine's like 11 years old
same
It looks like the issues are all related regardless of the GPU age, since the issue is the same on a 2021 card and a 2012 one
It is always AMD
and 4 years in legacy
Change PZ minimum requirements in steam page to this when?
Never gonna give AMD up
That is fair was just wondering on the situation more
13 years old gpu 😂
The requirements on the page are actually "recommended" ones
man im glad i chose 7950 over 770 back in the time
i think i have that one or a similar one
gg
Good to hear that XD
At least you can get past the main menu XD
At least this issue is known in any case
Yeah, at first teh words didnt appear but i had to verify files and got it working
Huh
You know I haven't actually tried doing that yet XD
But I'll wait for the first patches before I do anything drastic
Ok, I'm back. Live usb environment mint22. It is working perfectly. No artifscts, no nothing. Csnt jugde performance coz well, the entire system runs from an old 2.0 usb drive
Would post a pic but discord wont work from linux without block circumventions and setting those up on linux is atm overwhelming for me.
I didn't even have to install a new os. This is legit funny
It does look to be smoother compared to win10 with mesa patch
I installed the microsoft compatability pack + mesa3d as Beard said, and finally got into the main menu and even entered a game. Everything seems to technically work but the graphics are totally messed up. So I'm just gonna wait for an official patch, although I am hopeful to see the game is potentially functional. I have AMD r9 290x graphics card.
it is the same what i had with just mesa patch.
play a bit longer and you'll have 2d sprites flickering all over your screen and chunks 4x4 tiles blacking out.
outta curiousity, what your fps was? i had like 45-50 on win10 with HD7950. on linux i ended up with 200+. some occasional drops to 60ish were present though
Yep, I got those artifacts and flashes too pretty fast, but my FPS was higher than on B41.
if youre feeling like making an extra effort and is familiar with it - it works flawlessly on linux
good to know... that's very interesting
Beard, do you know if there would be any possible prediction of when this could be fixed
as of now you have 3 options:
- wait for an official patch
- download and copypaste this #1318697278747185284 message if you seek an epileptic trip
- play on linux. personally tested on live usb mint 22 - runs perfectly
mesa will launch pz, but once you load into the world, you'll see its far from playable
It helped. This is what the B41 log creates. Nvidia is not visible in the logs. I do not know why the B41 and B42 do not use nvidia. And I also don't know why in these circumstances B41 works with intel and B42 doesn't.
yea just loaded it up and got flashed like crazy lol
not worth doing the "fix". yeah it makes the game run but there are insane and unplayable visual glitches in the world
just wait for the regular fix patch that will hopefully drop tomorrow 🙏
I cant play with no visual bugs
Ill catch the screenshots
fr
installed linux on usb im that desperate 🙏
least we can experience some of the b42 features
My pc stopped the download saying there was a virus in it?
https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/27ff02963a02ea1a82de33dd25b4e0a8814120bada68d4db284a23bf9cb92a6e
see for yourself
beard said its a falst positive
VirusTotal
Ah thanks!
but in the end, this is what you'll end up with
#1318697278747185284 message
#1318697278747185284 message
I'll just wait for a patch then
or install linux somewhere if you cant wait. just like he did
In my system, the intel graphics card was an OpenGL processor. All OpenGL programs did not use nvidia. Nvidia was used only by vulkan programs. I managed to fix it, now B41 and B42 write in the logs that my video card is nvidia. However, this did not solve the black screen problem. The game does not draw anything in the window, only plays music and draws the cursor.
I literally nuked my arch installation yesterday for space lmfao
am i doing something wrong?
i loaded the game its still black screen
what am i gonna extract in the x64?
its a document?
I think you might be more familiar with your own PC than I would since I am not too well versed in the graphics weirdness of Linux. This is a PC though right? Is your monintor connected to the main Nvidia display port?
wait no i downloaded the wrong file sorry
I cannot really provide further support for this "fix" than what I already wrote, you can read through the github information yourself on how it works, I would only recommend more advanced PC users to try it
No
i think it has a virus
It is a false positive
As seen here
ohhhhh
it's not marked as official or anything, a lot of programs would be considered viruses if they weren't
beard
where do i put the fils?
files
in the main file of PZ?
yes
Let me just summarise the solution
- download the mesa3d-24.3.1-debug-info-msvc
- Extract it
- Copy the contents of x64
- Paste it on the main game folder
- We good?
Pls correct me if I'm wrong
download the mesa3d-24.3.1-release-msvc.7z
also for some reason when i tested the game again it seems to work perfectly fine with no graphical errors
That's weird I've done this so many times still no joy
i got it to work but now the fps is so bad
I solved the problem with the fact that the game does not use nvidia. Now both versions use it, but nothing has changed, the B41 works with both video cards, and unstable does not work with either of them. I think it's not about the drivers at all, not about the hardware, not about anything else, but about the builds of the game themselves, which players download from steam. It only makes sense to notify the authors about this problem and wait for the authors to find and update the builds. Thank you.
please provide me a working method that works for AMD cards, otherwise I am confused here and don't understand what is true and what is false.
Wait for a hotfix
