For assets, unless the format changes or whatever, I think it would be more beneficial for them to be in 'common' folder considering they are most heaviest in file size at least.
For code, I think for function, it would be preferable if scripts were kept in each version folder at least.

Though I don't see a problem having assets and code in each version folder as long it is kept relatively low with file size 'waste', it would be most safest option when it comes to functionality.

I guess I can see non-PZ lua libraries to be in the common folder though.
