Hello just started playing and I'm trying to set a server up so friends can play when I have to log out and do stuff but keep getting this warning when logging in:
Warning: Server has port 16262 closed. performance may be severely affected.
Has anyone got any idea what it could be? I have created rules in my firewall, port forwarded and messed with a few other things but the message still persists and my friend still can't join?

It means you didn't port forward properly. Feel free to screenshot your port forward settings.

port forwarding is auto done by the ini file

#

I did send a pic but got a 10 min timeout when I did so guess I can't do that

oh ok weird, well feel free to dm it to me

Port forwarding can be done automatically, but only if your router supports UPnP

#

It also does not account for having a double NAT, because it cannot open the ports on the second router

I can connect locally with 127.0.0.1:16261
I have also Created new rules for both ports in my firewall to allow UDP traffic:

Protocol: UDP
Specific Local Ports: 16261,16262
Action: Allow the connection
Profile: I have chosen (Private, Public)```

connecting locally won't use port forwarding, so it's not a reasonable test

#

port forwarding has to be configured in the gateway router and any subsequent routers

#

and to beard's point, yea if your carrier uses a CGNAT then you won't be able to port forward without your carrier's help
