Kinda, but not enough, I think it would be more fun in case the trailer was ready if fake negative feedback was included or mixed, starting from very believable and building towards unbelievable and straight-up nonsensical if you were thinking about it for more than a few seconds. And then the real release trailer at the very end of the blog post. The reader likely would believe it would be a joke, only to watch it. Making them fall into a questioning mess of what is real or not in the blog post. Making them suffer even more agonizing wait. Then when the update releases, the actual shizo time would begin as they would be hunted by possible nonsense from blog posts and perhaps rumours from social media caused by the blog post... (it wouldn't work. I am just trying to sound cruel here.)

Well I think it is calm because all people here know that the unstable will not released today.

Today we will get only info about a possible date/Month of release (a possible confirmation for December)

I think the hype on the previous thursdoid "October" was a lot higher because also if all we thought that an "Halloween unstable release" was improbable, a lot of people thought that that day could have been a really a good day to make a surprise to the community.. and several people hoped on it.

Today we all know instead that also if the 2024 will be confirmed, we still need to wait some weeks to try it.

This is what I think at least.

So people are hyped, but not at stars levels.

People that are curious about the new "crafting UI" could be happy anyway, they mentioned something on last thursdoid about the fact that they should talk about it, so may be will happen today.

Modders are dealing with the mess of this game's Lua API. I am not that intimate with it to know how much it can be pushed.
But it looks very straining to write anything original, I am not even wondering how much pain it would be to write something bigger being strained to functions provided by the game itself.

So, any new function provided definitely will help. If game's API was much closer to something like game engine, literally writing entity logic from scratch would be preferable even.
I hope that is case too xd, I don't want anyone to suffer anymore agony pointlessly.

Developers purpose is make so players collaborate with NPC ( for 1.0) or others players (on B42 stable) to build a new mediaeval civilization during months.

They will do this limiting on MP what profession a single player will be able to do, and skill he will be able to achieve.

You will not have anymore a player that can do everything, so that some players will specialise in craft something, and others in other stuff.

This is the scope of B42 crafting system overhaul.

This will impose to players to collaborate in order to craft complex stuff and help each others, this will simulate a roleplay contest where players build together new mediaeval civilization.

May be some players will be focused on steal crafted stuff form others players cause they don't want lose time to craft.
Crafter players could collaborate together with others players specialised on fight to defend "their community" (like guilds).

This could theorically open to players faction.

Devs are aiming To something that in my opinion will fit well also for create roleplaying contest.
