Is it run using the ingame host menu or dedicated server ?
and will you be running it in ingame host menu or dedicated server ?
ingame hostr
we found out how to do it, except when I loaded in, nothing player built, or any of the cars were in our base. (basically just a new seed building)
if you'd know how to solve that
Make sure you've copied these three things
yup have those
and the proper save in Zomboid\Saves\Multiplayer
yep
copy the save again into Zomboid\Saves\Multiplayer
take note of the file size of the folder
of the save itself
start up the server again through host and go in, let me know if the size of the folder has shrunken
give me one moment, I deleted the current files, and I'm going to reput them in.
I would like to check if the weird thing where it mostly resets the world is happening with you when transfering worlds
because i've seen that happening from transfering worlds to other computers
Alright, so how would we do that
the above, #1301015129365676136 message
copy/check server folder size, open and load in from host menu, check server folder size again to see if it shrunk
alright, just give me 1 second lmao I forgot to save a copy of this file
@iron dagger (mb for the ping ik u just got offline) but the file size actually went UP
How much did it change ?
You're not running into the problem I've seen before, I'm not sure what's happening to your world. Try asking your friend to compress and upload another copy of the world for you
alrighty
If the same thing, send me a link to the world and I'll test it
if its too much of a hastle we can just restart the world, we had some progress but we can just get it back. We just wanted to try to see if we COULD transfer
Best if you delete the whole world save folder in Zomboid\Saves\Multiplayer to restart
