#Cannot start Steamcmd server

Can't understand what to do, people who have said similar issues told me to make my appid 108600
well, you're missing commons-compress jar on your classpath so it makes sense it can't find it
did you edit files?
The only files I had made edits to were text files to configure values and to add mods
How exactly did you install the server and what commands did you use?
Since it looks either like an install issue or a problem with the backup feature
I just installed it with steamcmd following the wikiβs instruction
Windows 10 and just followed that webpageβs instructions
Can you also share the console.txt file from User/Zomboid?
I will when I get home, I apologize for inconvenience
Would you like me to ping you then?
Sure
The thread follow feature pings us anyways π Could you also share out the steamcmd log for me when you're able? I'd like to see if there were any errors there.
I'm also curious if you've hosted Minecraft or some other Java game on this same machine that could be overriding the class path env variables.
Just to clarify, that is different than the txt file I dropped? Because that was the steamcmd interface
Also, I believe I have hosted some FTB servers on this computer, but I canβt recall if that was specifically before I wiped it a few years ago or not.
Iβll also I have hosted a Java game since then and say yes to your question, that I have
if you mean my question, the text file you dropped is the pz server console file isn't it? I'm asking for the logfile from the steamcmd client itself. I think it will be in whatever directory you downloaded and extracted SteamCMD to
as far as the environment variables, could you run 'printenv' in command prompt, copy+paste it here, and then remove any personally identifying information before sending it
Alrighty, I will complete these requests later today when I get home. I appreciate the voluntary assistance.
no problem and prioritize whatever beard asks for since he's actual support and I'm just some mook π
@spice tusk Not sure which one you wanted specifically, but here are the ones in that folder
I am not sure which log you are wanting
There are several in a folder of logs, unless you are referring to something else
it looks like yours are C:/steamcmd/logs I think
this is a dedicated server you installed via steamcmd? why do all the paths look like it's launching from the zomboid client
oh ok I'm seeing what beard asked for
you shared the client console, the console from a client hosted server, and also the steamcmd dedicated server console
Yeah I see the Logs folder in that steamcmd folder, but I am not sure they pertain to zomboid specifically
Most haven't been altered since installation
I pulled up the ones from that server specifically
Thanks, all seems to be in order here, so the issue is not what I suspected.
Do you still have the default startserver64.bat file? I would suggest trying to start it using that, just to check for any errors during its editing
I assume I could just download a fresh one
Sure
They do, since that's what you used steamcmd to install
That's ok, it was the installation that I wanted info about
I see there were initially some permissions errors in the original installation directory which you resolved but then in the latest one steamcmd is failing because it can't find the install

It seems like it did run not too long before this, but then this started happening
Reinstalling the bat file worked
