#Help With Setting Up Server.Pro Server.

I've got a server set up for Project Zomboid on server.pro, but I am completely oblivious as how to actually set it up.

I can't seem to connect to it with the IP address, nor do I know where to put the mods within the files.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

Mods are set up in the server config file:

#

As for connecting to it, is the server running? Do you have access to its console?

I have access to the console. As far as I'm aware, it's online, but I have no idea if I need to actually 'start' a map first or something like that before I can actually join?

If you start the server then everything is already done automatically based on the settings you set up as sent above

#

So you just need to join

And then we start to run into problems.

#

Lemme get PZ started and get the error message

#

It just says 'server is not responding' or 'the server failed to respond'

#

Server.pro has -zero- documentation about starting PZ servers either, which is really annoying.

So does that signify that I'm using something like the wrong IP address, or that there's an issue with the server?

OK, I've found an old message on Steam telling me to start the game with '-nosteam' in the properties. Which gets rid of the 'server is not responding' error.

However, it now says 'connection failed', so I imagine that might be an IP error on my end. I'll keep digging.

Can you send the IP that they have assigned to you for connection?

#

You should basically never use -nosteam

#

Unless you are actually running a non-steam server

#

Which I assume you are not

51.89.152.37

Since that is usually necessary too

Well that might be the issue here. I'm in chat with someone in the server.pro support so we'll see what happens. There's a few ports floating around, and I have -zero- idea what they actually do.

My game port is set to 16261, which is the default in the config, so I assume its supposed to be that.

I see, could you share the server logs in that case? Assuming you have access to those

potent jewel
#

I shall send them in a little bit, just trying one port thing they've asked me to do 👍

Basically both of those

#

And that you do not have access to the Steam mods of course

Hm, I'll go back to normal then
